Silly Walk - CSS dance

A tribute to Monty Python, built entirely in HTML & CSS. No JavaScript. No classes. No IDs, just pure CSS doing things it probably wasn't meant to do.
The concept: a star with legs performing a silly walk. What started as a fun idea turned into 2,695 lines of CSS and one of my favourite projects to date. Using container style queries, I combined four interactive buttons into 16 unique states: each with its own background, animation speed, and a Monty Python quote to match. Clip-path for the star shape, variable fonts, @layer, : :before, and : :after, transform-origin I used everything CSS had to offer.
The constraint of no JavaScript forced me to think differently and get way more out of CSS than I thought possible. Turns out it's a lot more powerful than people give it credit for.
Outcome: A chaotic, interactive one-pager that makes people smile, and secretly a deep dive into advanced CSS.
